The students, the supervisors and the lecturers as well as the study board, the school and the faculty have a mutual interest in the fact that the semesters as a whole and the teaching are continuously developed and improved and that previous experiences are used in that process. The evaluations form an important basis for the work of the study board and the institut in order to ensure the quality of the study programmes. Supervisors and other lecturers also use the semester evaluations for continuous improvements and adjustments of courses and supervision. At the same time the evaluations are used as background material for planning next year’s semester. As a student you cannot expect to start an academically exciting and well-planned semester if you have not participated actively and constructively in evaluating the semester you have just finished.
This circular argument of ongoing improvement of the study environment and the quality of the study programmes is a mutual responsibility of the students, the lecturers and the study board.
