A Hackathon is an event where practitioners meet up and collaborate on solutions for future complex challenges. With point of departure in specific challenges, Hackathons evolves around intense teamwork and prototyping, having innovation and action in mind. Hackathons has its roots from engineering, but to be able to produce holistic, sustainable and feasible solutions broad interdisciplinary teams of disciplines are needed.

Research have shown that complex problems and future sustainable solutions must be solved in interdisciplinary teams. By bringing together a wide range of disciplines, innovative, creative ideas and solutions can be created. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary constellations prepare you for the future labor market, providing you with tools, methods and procedures for how to approach, participate and share knowledge in interdisciplinary teams in the future. A competence much valued in the industry.

The Hackathon will consist of a half-day introduction at CREATE AAU in Aalborg followed by three days of intensive teamwork at Grundfos Academy in Bjerringbro. This includes transportation, meals and a two-night stay at Grundfos Academy.
